Gallery Review: "You've seen her, you know her, you love her - but, you've never seen her like this! This week, we are very pleased to bring you this pop of brilliance from our featured creative! The world is your oyster - it's up to you to find the pearls. And, we certainly found treasure this week. Extraordinarily well painted! I hope to see future works by this week's featured creative! "

"Queenie & Phoebe"

Gallery Review: "Oh my gosh - who are they!? Such personality, such poise! And now we can answer the question, "Why did the chicken cross the road?" To get to our gallery, of course! These two beauties "chicken danced" their way into our gallery (and our hearts) on National Chicken Dance Day! Queenie and Phoebe take center stage as the royalty they are. I can't wait to see more from our egg-cellent portrait artist! Well done!!"

Character Set
May 12, 2020

Gallery Review: "I am very pleased to bring you these characters that are just waiting to jump off these pages and out into the world! These characters remind us to be prepared for anything (including potential villains masquerading in the public) and that our heroes can be found in many shapes and sizes. They may be tiny, but they pack a punch of personality! Is our featured creative using this medium to inform us that personal protection is not just from the things you can see - but also, from the things you don't? I'd like to think so. I am excited to see where this wild narrative goes!"

"Damballah"

Gallery Review: "I am very pleased to bring you these works of art that were part of an exhibit on African American History. These new additions to our gallery are connected to the Yoruba Pantheon through the African religion of Yoruba which is the basis for many other religions and has strong ties to Haitian Creole and other cultures. Both of these pieces speak to the importance of the sky, water and universe in creation stories. While we often study religions of the world, the Yoruba religion is often overlooked. Our featured artist lights the spark of discovery as we uncover deities rich in cultural significance. I look forward to other discoveries our artist this week can help us unearth - as these are other worldly. Brilliant work!!"

"Jack - King of the Pumpkin Patch"
April 29, 2020
By Creative: History Jedi
Drawing

Gallery Review: "This new addition to our gallery brings us to a magical place of wonder that is alive within us all. It also helps answer a question that many of us are driving ourselves batty asking these days, which is... "What day is it?" Well, this is Halloween! It might not be written on the calendar, but History Jedi takes us to the Halloween that lives in our hearts. And, while some may see things as black and white, History Jedi reminds us all that there are many shades of grey. History Jedi transports us to Halloween Town this week. I am looking forward to finding out what our next destination will be."

"By The Light"
April 14, 2020
By Creative: Siwthin
Pencil Drawing

Gallery Review: "The latest addition to our gallery defies the boundaries of time and place to guide our mind along the fluid boundaries of the tide. This speaks to the contemporary temporal issues of rocky shores appearing in the distance like mountainous obstacles. And, under those dark shadows appears a light cast by a light house. Like a lantern in the sky, it illuminates the viewer's intellect and allows us to reflect on questions like, "What kind of birds are they?" I, for one, anticipate Swithin's follow-up pieces as I wonder... what kind of birds are they?"

"Totem Reflections"
April 10, 2020
By Creative: Skittles

Gallery Review: "E-MO-GEE Skittles has done it again! Skittles takes the viewing public on a virtual rollercoaster of emotions while simultaneously juxtaposing modern society with our not- so- distant history and cultural connections. Without hesitation, I can say, anyone viewing this piece knows Skittles comes out on top! If Skittles is looking at the world through rose colored glasses, I sure want a pair!" -Miss PunOfficial Art Appreciator & Reviewer

Again, fabulous work Skittles! -Miss Hawn & Ms. C Official Art Appreciators

"Braided Key Chain"
April 7, 2020
By Creative: Skittles
Multi-Three-Dimensional Media Format

Gallery Review: "Such Craft! And fully realized ideals. Skittles creates a piece that challenges our cultural norms by taking a firm stance on color play and transforming it into a piece that is not only a sight to behold, but also beholden things! This piece holds the keys to the iconic modern art ideals that Skittles stands for. I, for one, look forward to the next piece from this Creative's mind." -Miss PunOfficial Art Appreciator & Reviewer

This painting is considered "student artwork" because instruction was given. The practice of stacking rocks varies in purpose and in different cultures. Many people stack rocks as a calming art form.

A Small Collection of Spring

These spring paintings are considered "student artwork" because I followed a video tutorial for each of them. Artwork is considered "student work" whenever any instruction is given.

The Sea Turtle - Original Acrylic "Hidden Treasures"

Painting of the Week

A possible benefit to having beach closures may be a surge in the sea turtle population this year as they use the beaches to lay eggs in nests on the beach.
